Masriera - 19 th Century
Art Nouveau Jewelry, Barcelona , Spain

Lluis Masriera, the son of artists and jewelers, was a contemporary of Lalique, Gaudi and Tiffany, and is recognized as the driving force behind the introduction of Art Nouveau jewelry in Spain in the 19 th century. Among his innovations was the technique known as "Barcelona Enamel," a method of creating translucent enamel that possesses luminosity and remarkable definition.

Fortunately, a copy of almost all of the original molds were retained. Today, Masriera continues Lluis Masriera's traditions and carries on his legacy through the use of his actual jewelry molds to faithfully execute his designs in the 21 st century. Each piece is made from the actual molds, making every piece an original, not a reproduction.
